Howard A. Caplan

In the early 1980's, Howard bought a $3 million-a-year retail building materials and garden center business in Cleveland, Ohio. The company went from "break-even" to 12 percent profit in less than three years. Howard sold the business and moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended law school. Howard practiced law in Memphis for two years concentrating in business and bankruptcy law and general civil and criminal litigation. Since 1990 Howard has practiced law in Jacksonville, Florida, and as a sole practitioner since 1994. Howard's practice is concentrated in the areas of business law, corporate law, franchise law, and trademark and copyright law.

Howard has also owned a franchised business. Additional current business interests being a restaurant in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and real estate development in Cleveland and North East Florida. These and other priceless hands-on business experiences enable Howard to understand business owners' hopes and fears, frustrations and successes. He understands cash flow and that every penny counts.
